Why I Don't Like Touring But Love Recording

Touring and music are two different things.  I toured with a well known world-wide act, but I did not enjoy myself because there was hardly any music involved in the actual touring.  During rehearsals, it was a lot of fun, because we were just hanging out at the house rehearsing twice a day and actually doing some musical things in between.  But once the actual tour started, the vast majority of the time was driving, waiting, sleeping, selling merch.  I had no interest in any of those and thus I chose to focus all of my efforts on music composition, recording and mixing, as well as promotion and marketing.
