I think it's highly plausible that the Unabomer, Ted Kaczynski, was a GOVT peon used, possibly part of the MK ULTRA Monarch Mind Control program or something that derived from MK ULTRA, to see if the FBI and CIA were competent enough to figure out and catch this person, while also at the same time releasing the manifesto to create some alertness about technology and how it will eventually destroy society. Or Maybe it was a test to see if the population would go along with the idea that technology is indeed an existential threat to the human race? Well it seems we have chosen to go full force with technology and artificial intelligence so that attempt failed, although it was done with good intentions, it is not a way that will satisfy society, a society that needs instant satisfaction and gratification to not be depressed as technology continues to flourish.

What’s interesting is that the experimenter, Dr. Henry A. Murray, spent WW2 working for the OSS (the predecessor of the CIA,) doing related stuff.Some of his research at Harvard had been sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation, other research by the CIA. He was Timothy Leary’s mentor in Leary’s LSD experiments around the same timeframe.
I think that, given the context, these experiments were under the aegis of MKULTRA or a parallel program.
It’s interesting how many people involved in terror can be tied to these programs. For instance, Dr. Aziz Al Abub, the Hezbollah psychiatrist who supervised the development of their suicide bombing program and the torture of William Buckley (CIA station chief in Lebanon,) had studied under Dr. Donald Ewen Cameron, a Canadian psychiatrist who was involved in MKULTRA human experimentation.
